EGYPTIAN EXHIBITORS DEVELOP NEW BUSINESS WITH LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES AT THE BIG 5 CONSTRUCT EGYPT

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Trade & industry, the inaugural edition of The Big 5 Construct Egypt already established itself as the must attend event for construction professionals in the country.

The show, organized by dmg events and running until September 21 at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center (EIEC), features over 200 exhibiting companies from 24 countries including a significant number of local construction manufacturers and distributors.

Some of Egypt’s biggest names in construction such as Orascom Construction, Ezz Steel, TAGRO and Hassan Allam have signaled their confidence in the local economy and the construction industry by taking part in the show.

The Big 5 Construct Egypt is widely viewed as critical to Egypt’s USD 335 billion construction sector. The launch of mega national projects such as the New Capital City and Alamein City, alongside various infrastructure and utilities projects in line with the vision of H.E. Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, are boosting the demand for products and solutions that enable the completion of the works on time while ensuring the highest quality standards.

The Big 5 Construct Egypt’s platform provides Egyptian construction companies a unique opportunity to connect, and build strong business relationships with future partners in success. Local exhibitors have the chance to sign profitable import and export deals, while international participation is expected to boost the flow of FDI with a positive effect on the economy at large.

Mr. Rizkallah Armia, of TAGRO said, commenting on the show:

“I am very happy to be taking part in The Big 5 Construct Egypt. The timing and organization of the event are ideal for us, especially with the expansion of the construction sector we are witnessing in Egypt.
“We have had constructive discussions with a number of Arab companies seeking long term partnerships with Egyptian companies. To us, The Big 5 Construct Egypt is a springboard for major export opportunities that will drive foreign currency into Egypt and provide us and other Egyptian companies with international exposure. We will definitely be here for next year’s edition.”

Speaking of The Big 5 Construct Egypt’s benefits to its business, Ms. Mirna Zakaria of Technochemie, one of Egypt’s prominent industrial services companies and an agent for a number of international companies, said:

“Our experience at The Big 5 Construct Egypt has been very positive. We have held a number of meetings with local companies who want to form long term partnerships for a number of projects taking place both locally and abroad.
“The show’s organization has helped us in terms of physical proximity to visitors and other exhibitors, giving our products great exposure, which is the exact reason we decided to participate in the first place. We hope that next year’s edition will bring more international and local exhibitors as well as visitors, which I have no doubt it will, given the immense success of its first edition.”

A staple of Dubai’s exhibition calendar for almost 40 years, the last few years saw The Big 5 expand in Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Kenya, becoming the largest and most influential go-to exhibition for the construction sector in the Middle East and Africa. Coming to Egypt this year, The Big 5 Construct Egypt brings a multi tier platform loaded with various features beneficial to Egyptian companies, including complimentary CPD-certified workshops.

The show is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and is supported by the Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors (EFCBC) and the African Federation for Construction Contractors Associations (AFCCA). Its partners include the Egyptian Chamber of Building Material, the Arab Water Council, the German Arab Chamber of Industry & Commerce, International Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Kandil Steel (Bronze Sponsor), Orascom Group (CPD Sponsor), Sphinx Glass, Ezzsteel, Al Sherif Group, and Al Bawani Company.
